What Is a Mileage Log Template?
A mileage log is simply a place to track all the miles driven as a result of a project. Project managers track miles driven because; where miles are reimbursable from the project budget, they represent an expense. By tracking mileage, we’re better able to monitor and control the project budget.
Multiple members of the project team might be required to travel for the benefit of the project. When this happens, a standard form makes tracking the numbers a little easier.
The mileage log template provided below captures the name of the project member, the name of the project, the name of the project manager, the date of a trip, a description of the trip, the beginning trip mileage, the ending trip mileage, the total trip miles, and the total project miles.
