Stakeholder Register Template
Keep a list of all project stakeholders in one location with this one-page Stakeholder Register template. This template supports project stakeholder engagement.
This Stakeholder Register template provides for listing those persons who may be affected by the project, or perceive they will be affected by the project. Our template also provides for inserting the stakeholder contact information and for assigning individual stakeholders to stakeholder groups.
This template is developed to support a wide range of project types and sizes. Specifically, it:
- begins with a section that captures relevant project information;
- provides sections for documenting the stakeholder name, title, project role, and contact information;
- prompts the Project Manager to identify what stakeholder group the stakeholder belongs to, if any; and
- provides a “notes” section for capturing additional information.
Who Creates the Stakeholder Register?
Typically, the Project Manager is responsible to identify project stakeholders. Doing so often accounts for the feedback of others.
What Are the Inputs?
Inputs to developing a Stakeholder Register may include experience and expertise of the Project Manager, feedback from members of the project team, feedback from the project sponsor, a relevant purchase contract, the project charter, the resource management plan, the procurement management plan, and the stakeholder engagement plan.
