This one-page Schedule Baseline template is developed by a PMP certified project manager. It is fully editable and ready for use on your project.

The Schedule Baseline is a project document that captures the approved schedule details for project activities. Throughout the project life cycle, schedule performance is measured by comparing the schedule baseline to the real performance results.

Our template captures information regarding project task and it contains all the information necessary to develop the project schedule. It’s developed to support a wide range of project types and sizes. Specifically, it:

  • begins with a section that captures relevant project information;
  • provides for capturing task identification information; and
  • provides sections for record information about each task. For example, it provides sections to document the total slack, duration, start date, and finish date.

Who Creates the Schedule Baseline?

Most often, the Project Manager creates the schedule baseline. Of course, doing so accounts for the input of various project team members, other stakeholders, and the project sponsor.

What Are the Inputs?

There are numerous inputs to the development of the Schedule Baseline, including the schedule management plan, the work breakdown structure, activity duration estimates, and the activity attributes.
